Thanks for keeping my old interview with Joe alive. So much quotable material here, by my longtime lamented friend and mentor. Joe was an idol, to me, as a hugely accomplished writer (and songwriter) who had risen out of poor-kid roots in south Philly to become a success.


This was conducted back in 1977 over a very long phone chat that I recorded. (I still have the actual cassette tape.)
